Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin instructed the Ministry of Education, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Transport, to develop new, better training programs for driving schools, Izvestia reports with reference to the minutes of the meeting of the government commission on road safety.

“This year, driving schools will have new training programs. They will be developed by September and tested in practice by the end of the year, ”the message says. This is necessary to improve the knowledge and skills of novice drivers.

The old programs pay great attention to the rules of the road, and the new ones will teach drivers not to take risks on the roads and quickly make the right decisions on highways, explained Natalya Agra, a member of the commission, president of the Expert Center “Safe Movement”.

She noted that in recent years, there have been many motorcycles, scooters and scooters on the roads, which also requires new skills from drivers. According to the newspaper, Rosobrnadzor will supervise the implementation of the new programs. If the driving school does not cope with their execution, its license may be revoked.

On April 1, new rules for passing the driver’s license exam came into force. The “platform” was removed from the exam: all the exercises of the candidates for drivers must be performed on the streets of the city. The exam is no longer held along previously known routes so that future drivers cannot learn them by heart. All errors are divided into several groups according to the number of penalty points that are given for them.
