The Directorate of Productive Development of the Prefecture of Chimborazo deployed a bovine vaccination campaign on Tuesday, March 19 in San Andrés, Guano. With the leadership of two zootechnical technicians, 169 cattle were immunized in communities such as Pazayan, San Miguel and Langos San Andrés, marking the beginning of an initiative that seeks to improve the health of livestock and promote sustainable development in the agricultural sector.

The Directorate of Productive Development of the Chimborazo prefecture carried out an outstanding bovine vaccination campaign in the parish of San Andrés, located in the Guano canton. With the valuable support of two zootechnical technicians, this initiative had the main objective of strengthening the health and well-being of livestock in the region, while promoting productivity and sustainable development in the agricultural sector. Throughout the day, zootechnician technicians provided their services in the communities of Pazayan, San Miguel and Langos San Andrés, managing to vaccinate a total of 169 cattle. The campaign, planned to extend throughout the week, aims to reach all communities in the parish, ensuring comprehensive and equitable coverage.

To guarantee the effectiveness of this work, a rigorous record is being kept that documents the identification of each vaccinated animal, thus ensuring the traceability and transparency of the process. Juan Carlos Avalos Zambrano, main member of the San Andrés Parish GAD, expressed his deep gratitude to the prefect of the province for the commitment and dedication shown in carrying out this important campaign for the benefit of the parish’s livestock community. The zootechnical technicians highlighted that, as part of the campaign, deworming vaccines and vitamins are being supplied, including Ivermectin and injectable AD3E-JB vitamins, with the purpose of improving the health and performance of local livestock.
