Lucia Annunziata is running for the European elections for the Democratic Party and the journalist Laura Tecce doesn’t miss the opportunity to make fun of her. “And in reality you have become great,” writes Tecce on Facebook, mimicking her colleague’s Campania dialect and posting an article from September 2023, where Annunziata categorically excluded any possibility of political candidacy in the European elections.
In the Corriere article attached by Tecce, Annunziata, in fact, declared: “I will never, ever run for the European elections. Neither with the Democratic Party, nor with any other party. I hope this denial is clear enough to reassure everyone.” However, history has taken a different turn and now Annunziata is a candidate as the leader of the Democratic Party in the South.
