US President Joe Biden and former Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton spoke at a fundraiser in New York for Biden’s re-election campaign.

Politico reports this.

The event took place at Radio City Music Hall and was hosted by “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert. During the discussion, protesters rose and shouted at times, attempting to interrupt speakers and express displeasure with Biden’s support for Israel.

One of the protesters shouted:

“Shame on you, Joe Biden!”

Barack Obama noted that Biden has “moral clarity” regarding Israel and is willing to listen to different points of view and find common ground.

When a protester interrupted Obama’s speech, he responded:

“You can’t just talk and not listen… This is what the other side does.”

Protesters demanded Biden promise to continue efforts to end violence, especially against children. However, the American leader emphasized:

“Israel’s existence is now at stake”

Biden also said that he is working with Arab countries that are ready to “fully recognize Israel for the first time.”

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside Radio City Music Hall, expressing their dissatisfaction with Israeli policies in midtown Manhattan. Also present at the event was Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who hinted at a possible shift in Democratic support for Israel if reforms are not implemented and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not ousted. Biden said shortly after that Schumer gave a “good speech.”

Kursor also reported that Israel had begun negotiations with Washington on the deployment of peacekeeping forces in Gaza after the war.

In addition, President Isaac Herzog recently made a statement amid tensions between the US and Israel.
