Recently, ‘robotic solutions’ seem to be emerging as a hot topic in the chicken industry. BHC Chicken, which introduced the ‘chicken robot’ on a pilot basis last year, has started to expand nationwide.

bhc Chicken announced on the 1st that it signed a business agreement with LG Electronics on the 29th of last month at the LG Science Park in Magok, Seoul to promote a joint business for the distribution of ‘TuiiBot (hereinafter referred to as TuiiBot)’. Tubot is a fried food manufacturing robot introduced by LG Electronics’ in-house venture. When kneaded ingredients are placed on the machine, the robot automatically moves the tray and cooks.

bhc Chicken plans to expand Tubot to stores nationwide, starting with ‘bhc Chicken Jeungmi Station Branch’. The store introduced Tubot first and has been running a trial run since the second half of last year. In particular, it is characterized by the application of optimized technology to the cooking manual of the bhc chicken menu. bhc Chicken participated in the initial research and development of Twibot and provided LG Electronics with a solution optimized for frying.

BHC Chicken plans to maximize franchise operation efficiency through the introduction of Tubot. In addition, it is expected that cooking automation will improve the efficiency of franchise operations by improving the safety and consistency of the cooking process as well as manpower management in the store.

A BHC Chicken official said, “We have been checking the efficiency of frying robot operation through pilot operations since the second half of last year, and we plan to expand the introduction of frying robots through consultation with franchisees nationwide in the future.”

Kyochon Chicken was the first to make the move. Kyochon F&B, which operates Kyochon Chicken, began full-scale chicken robot development with robot manufacturer Neuromeka in 2021 and is currently operating in five locations (four franchises and one headquarters). Last year, we decided to join hands with Doosan Robotics to install the first robot at our headquarters in Osan, Gyeonggi-do.

In addition, small and medium-sized chicken brands such as Jadam Chicken and Bareun Chicken Do have introduced and are operating chicken robots.
