(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, MARCH 29 – ‘Bimbo Tu’ and Bologna FC 1909 return to the department together to celebrate Easter thanks to the Bologna Tifa Per i Bambini campaign. The rossoblù captain, Lorenzo De Silvestri, Giovanni Fabbian, Joshua Zirkzee and Stefan Posch together with the sporting director Marco Di Vaio accompanied by ‘Bimbo Tu’, delivered the soft toys symbolizing the “Bologna Tifa Per i Bambini” fundraising campaign to the department.
The fundraising is dedicated to the objective of renovating two pediatric short-term intensive observation rooms and securing two inpatient rooms of the Neuropsychiatry Department of the Maggiore Hospital in Bologna. In particular, the players visited the young patients at the Tribù di ‘Bimbo Tu’ recreational play space in pavilion A of the Bellaria hospital.
Subsequently the footballers went to Pass, the ‘Bimbo Tu’ Hospitality and Solidarity Services Centre, where they were able to meet the families and patients who are currently hosted free of charge at the residence, and the children and adolescents who participate in Pass group educational rehabilitation activities organized by the Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry Service of the Bologna Local Health Authority. The vice president of Confcommercio Ascom Bologna, Valentino Di Pisa, and a delegation from Ascom of San Lazzaro di Savena, where Pass and Bimbo Tu have their headquarters, also took part in the afternoon celebration.
“We have been collaborating with ‘Bimbo Tu’ with the club for years – observes Di vaio – and we have completed many small projects which are nevertheless important to help families and children who are going through a negative moment. We want to give some support and smiles before Easter to these children” but “we also receive a lot”. This, he concludes, is a “very beautiful moment also for our players, who always face it with enthusiasm”.
“Today is one of the great gifts that Bologna FC has been giving us for some time and we are truly very grateful for this relationship with the rossoblù club, which is increasingly affectionate”, explains Cora Querzé, general director of ‘Bimbo Tu’. (HANDLE).
