Master Dominique Saatenang is today a living legend of Kung-Fu, crowned with prestigious titles and a worldwide reputation. From Cameroon to China, the incredible journey
It all begins in Bafou, a small village in western Cameroon. This is where young Dominique grew up, lulled by the stories of Bruce Lee and the Shaolin monks. Very quickly, he became passionate about martial arts and began to dream of Asia. At 15, he convinced his parents to send him to study in China. A crazy bet for this son of farmers, who doesn’t speak a word of Mandarin.
But through courage and stubbornness, Dominique will make a name for himself in the land of Confucius. Spotted for his talent, he joined the prestigious Shaolin temple, a center of Kung-Fu. There he underwent iron training for years, submitting to the iron discipline of warrior monks. A sacrifice that pays off: he becomes the first African to be ordained a Shaolin monk! Never seen !

It’s the start of a meteoric rise in the small world of martial arts. Through one series of competitions, Dominique Saatenang has built up a breathtaking track record.
