The Military Forces managed to locate three people who had been missing since the afternoon of Holy Thursday on the Monserrate hill in Bogotá. Apparently, they would have taken alternate routes and unestablished trails to explore the surroundings of the hill.
The rescue plan was achieved with the help of the Red Cross, Firefighters and the support of drones and trained canines. Immediately, the authorities provided first aid. They were then transferred to the Unified Command Post from where they communicated with their families.
The authorities deployed a control and security plan in all the country’s capitals for Holy Week to address any emergency that may arise.
Likewise, the Military Forces had a group of uniformed personnel to support the relief agencies, in addition to carrying out a security check on the walkers who visit the Monserrate hill, in Ciudad Bolívar, the tree of life and El Cerro de Guadalupe. , in order to accompany the different crowds of pilgrims..
