jpnn.comJAKARTA – In the context of National Film Day 2024, the Indonesian Film Agency (BPI) collaborated with Arief Rosyid as the film’s executive producer to organize a special viewing performance of the film Lafran.

The group viewing event was held at XXI Epicentrum, Sunday (31/3).

National Film Day is celebrated every March 30.

BPI General Chair Gunawan Paggaru said the nobar activity was held as an effort to increase public interest in watching local films.

“Indonesian films have succeeded in taking a place in the hearts of the people with a sharp increase in the number of viewers, after the film industry was hit by the Covid pandemic several years ago. Nobar is one of the recovery efforts,” said BPI General Chair Gunawan Paggaru.

It is not without reason that BPI collaborated with the executive producer of the film Lafran to hold a screening in celebration of National Film Day (HFN) 2024.

Celerina Judisari as the HFN-BPI Organizing Committee said this was a form of real collaborative activity involving industry players.

“Many filmmakers want to celebrate HFN by giving it a strong meaning. The film Lafran is one of the films that gives a national spirit, in accordance with the character’s journey,” said Celerina.
