Noida: Despite all efforts by the Noida Authority, developers of only 14 of the city’s 57 projects have signed for the UP government’s Rehabilitation Package in the last three months. This was announced in the month of December last year on the basis of the recommendations of the panel headed by Amitabh Kant. The authority had identified 57 projects which were stuck due to outstanding funds. There were a total of 32,453 flats in these projects, most of which were handed over to buyers but were not registered. Out of these 57, builders of 35 projects having 13,639 flats had said yes to the government deal. But so far, developers of only 14 projects have deposited 25 per cent of their dues with the authority. With this advance payment, around 4,000 flats can now be registered, but the authority has been able to register only 500 so far. This has helped the authority increase its revenue by Rs 112 crore.Real Estate: Developers are buying land heavily in these religious cities, started many residential projects, see details

There will be a lot of registration in April

Authority CEO Lokesh M said that the builders of the remaining 22 projects who have given their consent to the rehabilitation package are considering depositing 25 per cent of the advance amount in the new financial year. He said that there is every possibility of a large number of registrations in April. “We are in constant touch with these builders,” he said. We are trying to convince them to deposit 25 per cent of the revised dues as soon as possible.” The stamp department is organizing camps in various housing societies to speed up the registration process. On March 1, a camp was organized at Express Zenith Society, Sector 77. A total of 55 registries were sealed that day. Similar camps were organized at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra in Sector 6. So far, a total of 500 flats have been registered in several camps.

Growth of 8 major basic industries of the country increased, reaching 6.7% in February.

Residents expressed concern

Many condominium residents are raising concerns against the pace of the registry. In many societies, residents have put up banners and posters declaring that they will not vote in the Lok Sabha elections if their flats are not registered first. The state government had come out with its rehabilitation scheme for stalled projects on December 21 last year. The Noida authority later listed 57 such projects and called their developers for a meeting. Of these, builders of 47 projects participated in the meeting and 35 said yes to the deal.

So far, 1,365 flats in 16 projects have been registered in Greater Noida. The builders of these projects have deposited the advance amount, which altogether amounts to Rs 73 crore.
