The custom-built vehicle broke in half in the impact and one of the front wheels bounced on the grass, tens of meters away. The front of the car has practically disappeared. It crumpled in the crash, and was consumed by the fire that engulfed the sheets of metal. Only the rear part of the car in which the two passengers were traveling remained intact.
The firefighters on Sunday also reached the site of the accident with a helicopter and had to cut the sheet metal with shears to be able to extract what remained of the bodies of the two people on board the Ferrari which crashed at breakneck speed on Sunday of Easter.
The police are investigating the dynamics of the accident starting from the car’s license plate, which was registered in Switzerland. However, the procedures for identifying the two victims are still underway. The two passengers were headed towards the border with Switzerland.
Investigators are trying to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident starting from the testimony of the motorist who first alerted the emergency services with a call to 112, without neglecting the analysis of the cameras.
