Recently, a wave of home robberies has given the police a lot of work. A wave of crimes that now finds a more propitious time: the Easter holidays, a period in which many residents took the opportunity to travel.
On Monday two houses were robbed within hours of each other. According to the police report, on Monday afternoon, unknown people robbed a house on rue d’Alzingen, in Syren. They broke into the house and “ransacked several rooms”. They then fled with the stolen goods.
At night, another robbery took place in identical conditions, in a house on Rue Théodore de Wacquant, in Foetz.
Robbers on the loose
Once they gained access to the interior of the house, the robbers took coins and an empty safe, according to the police report. Also in this robbery the thieves managed to escape.
The wave of home robberies in the Grand Duchy continues
In both cases, the scientific police were at the scene and investigations are underway to find the assailants.
