Shannen Doherty has opened up about her health condition and the process she follows in case it doesn’t have a happy ending.

The actress ofBeverly Hills90210” – who is suffering from stage 4 breast cancer – revealed that she’s been clearing out her storage and home to make it an “easier transition” for her mother, Rosa, when she dies.

“My priority right now is my mom,” the actress said during Monday’s episode of the “Let’s Be Clear” podcast. “I know it will be hard for her if I die before her.”

He continued: “Because it’s going to be so hard for her, I want other things to be a lot easier. I don’t want him to have a bunch of stuff to deal with. I don’t want him to have four warehouses full of furniture.”

The 52-year-old actress explained that she began going through her possessions to donate or sell antiques and other items she had collected over the years in case something happened to her.

The actress most recently took a trip south to her home in Tennessee to pack after deciding to let go of her dream of living on the estate and tending to horses.

“So we were in Tennessee packing up,” he continued. “It was really difficult and really emotional because – to some extent – I felt like I was giving up on that dream of building this estate and having a house for myself and a house for my mother and then expanding the stable.”

Doherty added that she planned to build a shelter for horses abandoned by their owners because they were too old or in poor condition.

“This was one of my dreams,” she tearfully said, adding: “I was packing up and started crying… I felt like I was giving up on a dream and what did that mean to me? Did it mean I was giving up on life? Did that mean I was giving up on everything?’

“And my mother was there saying, ‘Don’t leave this place, it’s fine. You don’t have to and you can continue. I said, ‘Yes, of course I can.'”

A week later, Doherty returned home to pack all her belongings into a truck to take back to California.
