Dr. Irena Persenska gutted the car of a rival who was stalking her husband in the village of Trud
The anesthesiologist from “Plovdiv” UMBAL, Dr. Irena Persenska, caught transporting 4 illegal migrants from Syria on March 10 of this year in the seventh month of her pregnancy, went to prison, but for a different crime. On February 6 of this year, she was caught driving around the village of Trud, where she lives, with a solid amount of alcohol of 2.46 per thousand. Despite her advanced pregnancy, the doctor became involved in the trafficking of foreigners together with her friend – the military Dimitar Dinchev, and Georgi Bozhikov, all from the village of Trud. She was then released from custody because of her special condition, and the two men remained behind bars. After the case, Dr. Persenska denied being involved in the scheme. “I can’t agree that I’m involved in human trafficking. I’m not involved in any channels at all, I don’t even have a clue what it’s about,” she denied.
On May 19, Persenska gave birth to a daughter, and her husband Dimitar Dinchev was released from detention on June 9, 2023. Two days later, the anesthesiologist gutted the car of her rival Petya Gudjeva, with whom Dinchev had a parallel relationship. In broad daylight – around 2:30 p.m. on June 11, she smashed the two overview and two other side windows of her competitor’s car parked in front of the casino where she works. “This Petya doesn’t understand a word! Insistent, impudent, doesn’t leave us alone. He drives his car around our house non-stop. He calls Dimitar and my mother-in-law continuously. Although she denied her involvement in transporting migrants, at the end of this year she, Dinchev and Bozhikov admitted their guilt and entered into agreements with the prosecutor’s office. The sentences of Persenska and Dinchev are conditional, but Bozhikov went to prison because he was convicted before.
Next comes the drunken driving, for which Dr. Irena Persenska also pleaded guilty and agreed with the prosecutor’s office only 3 days after her arrest. However, this time her sentence was not conditional and she was sentenced to 11 months in prison under an initial strict regime. The doctor will also have to pay a fine of BGN 190 and the BGN 10,2000 value of the BMW she was driving. The car was not her property.
The baby is currently being cared for by her mother-in-law.
