jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Political observer Hidayaturrahman believes that it is very appropriate for a number of social organizations, founders and regional administrators of the party bearing the banyan tree symbol, to want the General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP, Airlangga Hartarto, to return to lead the party.
The reason is, Airlangga has proven capable of leading the Golkar Party to success in the 2024 elections.
The Director of the Center for Indonesian Reform (CIR) assesses that Airlangga is able to consolidate the party’s strength and resources to win the 2024 elections.
This is one of the reasons why many administrators, wing organizations and Golkar figures want Airlangga to return to leadership.
“As general chairman of a major party, Airlangga is also able to drive Golkar’s winning machine in the 2024 elections, so it is very appropriate for several of the founding organizations to speak out about Airlangga being entrusted as chairman of Golkar,” said Hidayaturrahman in his statement, Tuesday (2/4).
Previously, the Mutual Cooperation Family Deliberation (MKGR), the Collective Central Leadership (PPK) of the Multipurpose Mutual Cooperation Organization Unit (Kasgoro) 1957 and several Golkar DPDs in the regions provided support for Airlangga to return to leading the Golkar Party.
These conditions make Airlangga’s chances of returning to lead Golkar even greater.
According to Hidayaturrahman, the expertise of the general chairman is really needed in the midst of tight political party competition like today.
