In a press release published this Thursday, April 4, 2024, the Ministry of National Education announced the reorganization of the school calendar at a time when the socio-political and security situation in the country is forcing thousands of students to miss several days of classes, particularly in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince. To protect the academic future of students, those responsible for MENFP after several working meetings decided to rethink the 2023-2024 school calendar and modify the dates of official exams.

Indeed, from July 22 to 24: 9th grade examination, from July 22 to 26: Examination of the normal school of teachers, from July 22 to 26: examination of the Family Education Center and from August 5 to 8: Examination of the Baccalaureate.

It should be remembered that several students have lost dozens of school days due to gang violence. In order to support schoolchildren, the MENFP indicated that it will set up all kinds of educational programs on the radio, on television, on USB keys, on the ministry’s website, and will organize compensation courses. learning particularly for the West department and other areas most affected by the escalation of violence.
