Pakistan has also alleged that India’s policies have made the security environment of South Asia “unstable and explosive”. However, Pakistan did not disclose during this time that it has also purchased lethal weapons from many countries, which also includes the Chinese FC-31 stealth fighter jet. In Asia, except China and Japan, no country has an aircraft with such technology.
Poison spewed in UN Disarmament Commission
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Munir Akram said during a session of the UN Disarmament Commission, “The security environment in South Asia has deteriorated rapidly in recent years, as the region’s largest country has stopped producing weapons on a large scale. “The program has been started.” He stressed that India has adopted war-fighting principles such as “cold start”, which envisages a surprise attack on Pakistan, and “limited war under nuclear pressure”. “India is now the world’s largest arms importer and is being supplied with nuclear, missile, conventional and other destabilizing weapons by its ‘strategic partners’,” Ambassador Akram said.
Pakistan has become the new chairman of Disarmament Commission.
This comment of Munir Akram comes after Pakistan’s Usman Jadun was elected chairman of the 2024 session of the Disarmament Commission. The UN General Assembly’s Subsidiary Commission began its three-week session on Monday to deliberate on disarmament issues. During this, Munir also spewed venom regarding Kashmir. He raised the issue of violation of rights of Kashmiris in Kashmir. Not only this, Munir also raised questions on the deployment of Indian Army in Kashmir. He said major destabilizing weapons have seriously deteriorated the regional security situation.
India was falsely accused of terrorism
The Pakistani representative also accused India of sponsoring terrorism. He said the situation has worsened due to the absence of international action. “Unless resolute steps are taken by the international community to deal with this situation, it could lead to an imminent regional and global catastrophe,” the ambassador said. He said that Pakistan has tried to achieve the objective of irreducible security at the lowest possible level of weapons.
