The opening of an exhibition entitled “Belarus through the eyes of artists” of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus took place at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art in Baku, Trend Life reported on Tuesday.

The exhibition takes place within the framework of the Days of Belarusian Culture in Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, prominent cultural and artistic figures, and representatives of creative youth.

Director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, Honored Cultural Worker Shirin Melikova, who spoke at the opening of the exhibition, noted that these are not the first Days of Belarusian Culture organized in our country.

“The Days of Culture of Belarus are, as always, an interesting, vibrant program: film screenings, musical evenings, exhibitions and other events. The exhibition “Belarus through the eyes of artists” presents works by artists of different styles, which are dedicated to the beautiful corners of Belarus,” she said.

Shirin Melikova noted that a number of agreements will be signed within the framework of the Days of Culture, including between the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art and the National Art Museum of Belarus.

Minister of Culture of Belarus Anatoly Markevich noted that the beauty reflected in the wonderful works of the artists presented at the exhibition will not leave anyone indifferent.

“Belarusian-Azerbaijani cultural cooperation is based on good traditions and looks confidently into the future. Bright, interesting, large-scale projects await us ahead that will be of interest to the residents of our countries. I would like to express my deep gratitude and gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, Minister of Culture Adil Karimli. “We had an interesting, substantive conversation today,” noted Anatoly Markevich.

Chairman of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, People’s Artist Farhad Khalilov emphasized that Azerbaijan and Belarus have special, warm relations.

General Director of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, artist, candidate of art history Anna Kononova spoke about the works included in the exhibition.

The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus and the Public Association “Belarusian Union of Artists”, the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art.

It should be noted that the exhibition includes works by five artists: Anton Vyrvo, Anna Kononova, Gleb Otchik, Anna Sadovskaya and Vladimir Urodnich. These paintings are dedicated to their native land and are written mainly in the landscape genre. The geography of the works represents different parts of Belarus, these are forest areas, rural spaces, city landscapes. Each of the artists offers their own interpretations of the picturesque landscape through the prism of patriotic themes. The paintings convey the special, unique aura of the Belarusian landscape. The beauty of nature on the canvases is depicted with sincere love for the native land. Heartfelt, deep in content and memorable images of Belarus testify to the artists’ amazing sense of color.

Let us remind you that the Days of Belarusian Culture in Azerbaijan take place from the first to the fourth of April. The opening ceremony of the Days of Belarusian Culture in Azerbaijan will take place today, April 2, at 19:00 at the Heydar Aliyev Palace.

As part of the Days of Culture, Days of Belarusian Cinema are held. Films produced at the Belarusfilm film studio are shown at the Nizami Cinema Center in Baku.
