The well-known actress Nana Veneti spoke in an interview on a TV show about the reasons she decided to isolate herself and leave acting.
THE Nana Veneti guest show found «The 2night Show» of ANT1 and talked about the era of the ’80s, when videotapes started.
“I don’t mind the videotape part. It bothers me that we only refer to this, which was a three-year-old piece of videotape. In this respect it bothers me, we are not referring to anything else. I will also say something on this subject. I had not dealt with the media at all, nor was I interested, I got involved recently. The videotape was a movie that was made very quickly, because then there was such a demand that I’ve seen the script and said, “I’m sorry, has anyone read this?” Well, me, the producer who will make it into a movie?” he said characteristically.
He then added: “They didn’t care, because they were in such demand that they were saying ‘bring scripts’ and they couldn’t catch up. Forget that they had all become producers by now, because it was like an investment.”
She also talked about her decision to leave it all and go into business.
«I always had the business field in mind. I also had great visibility in all the publications, TVs and I loved the space. It went well. I opened a clothing store in Kolonaki. They didn’t believe me when I said I quit acting. I disappeared after that, I didn’t want anyone to know where I was and what I was doing. Don’t write anything, don’t know me, don’t know what I do. I thought if they left me alone, I would be fine with my life. And I was right after all. I redeemed myself, it was the right decision. I say this after so many years of having my child, 20 years married“, he stated.
Finally, she explained how her career began. “I wanted to go to Fine Arts in Florence, but my father was conservative and didn’t let me. Then a friend of mine suggested I go to a modeling agency. The agency sent me to an audition at the Hatzichristou theater. My parents were shocked when I told them, but they thought I was joking. I’ve never been naked. I’ve lost incredible roles because they had a bit of nudity or underwear in them.”he said closing.
