Seven children killed in bomb explosion in southern Syria

at least seven children have died due to the detonation of an explosive device in Al Sanamainin the Syrian province of Deraa, in southern Syria, as reported by the Ministry of the Interior.

“Seven children have died and another has been injured as a result of the explosion of an explosive device in the town of Al Sanamain, in Deraa,” the Ministry reported on its Telegram channel.

The Ministry attributes the placement of this bomb to “a terrorist”. “The deceased have been transferred to the Al Sanamain Military Hospital and the injured person has been transferred to a hospital in Damascus,” added the Ministry of the Interior, which highlights that “investigations remain open.”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported eight deceased minors and blames the explosion on “militias loyal to the regime” of the Syrian presidentBashar al Assad, who intended to attack an individual.

The observatory, a London-based organization and informants inside Syriahas reported that neighbors have been able to hear a loud explosion that has caused panic among the population.
