She maintained a smile and a determined look, as she advanced confidently. However, the first moment of tension was when she used a wild card: the phone call. After thinking about it for a bit, she decided to call a close friend of hers, who helped her with the answer to the question she asked about the origin of the ponchos used for the cold season in Totonicapán.

At the end of her participation, Ivy won a prize that she plans to use for her children’s studies, thus fulfilling her goal of teaching them the importance of knowledge and education.

Wender, from Puerto Barrios to the world

The excitement continued with the presentation of Wender, operations manager, 41 years old and originally from Puerto Barrios, Izabal. He told the story of overcoming and his wisdom to have a passion for learning and keep his mind agile. Since he was young, Wender has been a passionate self-taught person, especially when it comes to topics such as World War II and the French Revolution. Furthermore, his curiosity has led him to delve deeper into these topics, which, more than being interesting, have turned him into an expert in history and general culture.

When the series of questions began, Wender seemed confident in his answers, since from the beginning he identified the question related to the character with whom you could have a cup of coffee in the Chavo neighborhood. Without a doubt, the most tense moment for Wender came when he was faced with the need to decide to use a wild card, in this case, the phone call. He decided to consult a friend with the question about the first film in which the Guatemalan actress María Mercedes Coroy starred.
