BOLZANO. Paolo Rossi, comedian closely linked to Bolzano and its Teatro Stabile (Tsb), he visited the prison together with Walter Zambaldi, director of the Tsb, to meet the participants of the theater workshops offered by the Tsb for prisoners. The one dedicated to prison guests is a innovation and inclusion project aimed at the social and cultural reintegration of prisoners and ex-prisoners through participation and involvement in cultural courses and initiatives.
“I have always supported and continue to support the project and activities of Stabile Theater of Bolzano inside the prison”, declared Rossi at the end of a chat with the inmates, during which he spoke about his way of understanding theatre, the inflexible and ductile art of improvisation, weaving together tasty anecdotes from his career.
“It is not the first time that I meet the guests of the Bolzano Prison and I will return: I think it is essential – especially for those who do my job – to bring comfort also and above all within those walls. The Theater as I understand it is a kind of comfort and participation, done with the public and not just for the public continuous exchangewhich, in this case, takes on an even more significant value for us who do it.”
Strong point of inclusive project dedicated to prisoners and ex-prisoners and the collaboration between public, cultural and private social institutions: the initiative is coordinated by the Teatro Stabile di Bolzano, in collaboration with Biblioteca Culture nel Mondo and Alpha&Beta Piccadilly, within the framework of the activities of the “Art of Freedom” project promoted with the prison of Bolzano and supported by the European Social Fund of the Province of Bolzano.
The numerous initiatives organized are part of aredemption perspective and personal rereading. To encourage subsequent social and work reintegration of the participants, the project includes individualized consultancy activities with the involvement of representatives of the local productive world who offer professional guidance.
