The new Law on Specialties of Medical Professions includes fines for doctors who promote themselves or try to provide a service as specialists and do not have the new certificate that will be issued by the National Council of Medical Professions (Conadem).

From 1 to 50 minimum salaries – from $365 to $18,250 – in the commerce and industry sector if the health professional advertises or promotes himself as a specialist in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or auxiliary and technical activities without having the corresponding certificate or recertification.

From 51 to 150 minimum salaries –$18,615 to $54,750– in the commerce and industry sector if the professional practices the specialty without having a certificate.

From 51 to 150 minimum wages – $18,615 to $54,750 – in the commerce and industry sector if you issue medical certificates without possessing the corresponding certificate of the specialty.

From 151 to 500 salaries – $55,115 to $182,500 – if it causes damage or death due to negligence or malpractice; and also the suspension of professional practice from one month to 5 years.
