When he fell, he took the Englishman over and the referee only had to point out the penalty spot. The VAR review did not save United and some fans, who, seeing that it was already the 97th minute, had begun to leave, returned to their seats to see Palmer tie the game with time already up.
With what had been lost between the review and the goal, Chelsea had one more, a counter that was wasted between Madueke and Sterling, but from which they took a corner. Enzo threw it quickly, for Palmer on the front. The Englishman loaded his leg, his shot hit a United defender and diverted its path to Onana. Chelsea returns to tenth position, with 43 points, and United is sixth, with 48 points, nine behind Tottenham Hotspur, fifth.
