It is known that Rajshahi-bound Dhumketu Express was supposed to leave at 6 am, but it left at 7:50 am. The train left about two and a half hours late. However, Sonarbangla Express, Egarsindur Prabhati, Teesta Express, Sundarban Express left the station on time.
Passengers are suffering due to the late departure of the train
The passengers of the train suffered due to the late departure of the Comet train. Women and children were particularly vulnerable. A passenger said, if he leaves the station late at the beginning of the day, what will happen to the rest of the time? There are no good toilets inside the station and you cannot rest. In this situation, if the schedule is delayed, one has to suffer. I hope the train will leave on time keeping in mind the suffering of the passengers.
An official working at the railway station in Kamalapur said that the comet entered Dhaka late. It is then processed with clean. The train left the station for Rajshahi with some delay. Rest of the trains are leaving on time.
Several officials, who did not want to be named, told this reporter that some more trains may leave late. As the reason, they say, the apprehension is mainly due to the late arrival of the train at the station.
