jpnn.com – JAKARTA – League 1 contestants may be able to breathe a sigh of relief after PT Liga Indonesia Baru decided to speed up the 31st week, there is no need to wait for the U-23 National Team’s struggle in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar to finish.
This decision was born after PT LIB held an online meeting with the owners of the BRI Liga 1 2023/24 clubs on Thursday (4/4).
“In this club owner’s meeting, we are looking for a win-win solution for all parties. “Finally we decided that the 31st week of BRI Liga 1 2023/24 will start again on April 15 2024,” said LIB Main Director, Ferry Paulus.
The determination of the date took many things into consideration.
“At the club owner’s meeting there were several options for BRI’s resumption date in the 31st week of 2023/24,” said Ferry.
“After everyone understands and considers all the situations, conditions and the club’s readiness which is not good if they wait a long time and have to rest, we have decided that the competition will continue on April 15 2024,” he added.
Previously, on Saturday 30 March 2024 it was decided that the continuation of the 2023/24 BRI Liga 1 was postponed due to considerations of the interests of the U-23 National Team.
The decision to resume the competition on April 15 2024 was immediately communicated to all clubs.
