A feared gang member from Barrio 18 of the Sureños faction (18-S) who has an extensive criminal record was arrested again by agents of the National Civil Police (PNC), this Sunday morning.
This is Juan Carlos Ibáñez Alvarenga, also known within the structure with the alias “Panadero”.
Police agents located him during a patrol as part of the actions of the Territorial Control Plan in the Veracruz neighborhood, in the department of Chalatenango.
This 18-S homeboy, according to police records, has an extensive criminal record for robbery, theft, threats, damage and domestic violence.
Authorities added that investigations indicated that Alvarenga in recent years was in charge of moving the gang’s drugs.
According to the Police, this time this gang member will be prosecuted for the crime of illicit groups and will spend decades behind bars.
