The Region of Epirus will proceed with the construction of a level roundabout on the Ioannina-Kozani National Road, at the height of the Ioannina airport.
The project was included in the technical program of the Region, after its amendment at today’s regional council meeting, with a budget of 800,000 euros.
The junction at this point serves not only the airport, but also the traffic coming from the ring road. However, this is a point where only five years ago there was an intervention, with the cost then reaching approximately 170,000 euros.
Asphalting is imminent in Vlachostrata
The construction of a hub at the airport was also mentioned by the regional governor at the previous meeting of the Regional Committee, where he announced another road project.
This is an asphalt paving intervention in Vlachostrata, which presents major problems and issues of safe use. The cost of the intervention is budgeted at 120,000 euros.
