The Renault truck, driven by a Russian citizen, had been parked on the side of the road since Friday.

Some drivers, unfazed by the delay, because rumors spread that the road would be cleared only after a few hours, turned around and drove against the traffic, risking a head-on collision with cars coming from Kaunas towards Marijampolė.
Later, the police officers directed the transport to the so-called old Kaunas highway.
The accident liquidation work did not end until midnight. At the scene of the incident, the road surface was repaired by JV “Marijampole region roads”.
