Chimborazo, 1,607 producers in the province of Chimborazo benefit from land titles, grass seed kits, mineral salts, council appointments, Peasant Family Agriculture cards and certificates, as well as training certificates in Learning Communities, in a event that had the participation of the President of the Republic Daniel Noboa, and the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Danilo Palacios.
Daniel Noboa mentioned that the farm workers are the clearest example of the will, dedication and dedication to Ecuador. “They have dreamed all their lives of having a property title, a plot, their land and today we are fulfilling that dream, giving them the land titles so that they can continue working with peace of mind and security on their properties,” stated the Head of State.
Minister Danilo Palacios assured that the country’s producers are receiving the support they needed from the Government of El Nuevo Ecuador and President Daniel Noboa. “We are committed to fighting crime and, above all, creating sources of employment to contribute to agriculture and our country,” said Minister Palacios.
590 producers received 850 land titles, representing 229.17 legalized hectares. They are added to the 4,703 titles granted in the country by the Government of El Nuevo Ecuador, benefiting more than 18,000 producers, with the legalization of 9,475.5 hectares.
890 community members benefit from the 10 council appointments delivered to the communities of Santa Bárbara, Bacún, San Francisco de San Isidro, Pichán San Carlos, Cochapamba, Laurel Gompuene, Chumug Cuello Loma, El Cortijo, Rayopamba and Santa Ana de Guagñag.
With these documents, producers will be able to benefit from the services and projects carried out by the MAG in the territory, just as the 39,578 community members benefiting from the 392 council appointments delivered in Chimborazo have done since January 2023.
Additionally, with an investment of $10,562, 31 producers receive seed kits for white clover, ray grass, and chicory, as well as fertilizers. Six producers also received mineral salts, which together with the seeds will serve to improve the nutritional conditions of the livestock of Chimborazo, a province in which more than 533 thousand liters are produced every day.
Also, 55 producers of Peasant Family Agriculture benefit from AFC cards and certificates, so that they can receive training, strengthen their capacities, in addition to marketing their products directly to the consumer, accessing packages of bioinputs for sustainable production, tools minors and loans from BanEcuador.
35 producers trained in the Learning Community of the Huertos Gatazo Zambrano Corporation, from the Cajabamba parish, Colta canton, obtained their certificates that they are prepared to do agriculture with respect for the environment.
