In Azerbaijan, new conditions are being determined in the field of import and production of alcoholic beverages, and the permit system is being improved.
As Day.Az reports, this was reflected in the proposed changes to the law “On Food Security,” which were discussed today at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Agrarian Policy.
According to the project, taking into account the conclusion of the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority on compliance with the following conditions provided for by the Law “On Licenses and Permits”, registration or approval of a food facility engaged in the production or import of alcoholic products will be carried out, as well as registration of a food entity , operating not as a food facility, in compliance with the following conditions:
– absence of overdue obligations for taxes and other obligatory payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan;
– absence of a valid decision on recognition as a risky taxpayer in accordance with the Tax Code;
– installation of control and measuring instruments that determine the volume of production at an enterprise for the production of vodka, which is a type of alcoholic product.
