On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, on the initiative of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, milk, eggs and meat have been sold at affordable prices in 35 districts including Dhaka. 5 lakh 91 thousand 971 people have benefited from it. People have bought these products under this program from the day of inauguration till 27 Ramadan.

Initially this program started in the capital, but later milk, eggs and meat are being sold in 35 districts including Dhaka. The districts are – Dhaka, Chittagong, Comilla, Noakhali (Senbagh), Feni, Laxmipur, Brahmanbaria, Chandpur, Bandarban, Rangamati, Rajshahi, Narsingdi, Tangail, Faridpur, Joypurhat, Natore, Bogra, Chapainawabganj, Bagerhat, Magura, Chuadanga, Meherpur, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Patuakhali, Pabna, Sirajganj, Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Kushtia, Jessore, Satkhira, Rangpur, Moulvibazar, Naogaon (Badalgachi). However, considering the cost of production and incidentals, there is variation in the prices of products in districts other than Dhaka and the program has been started on different dates.

A total of 1 lakh 99 thousand 168 kg of beef, 5 thousand 131 kg of goat meat, 2 lakh 16 thousand 427 kg of dressed broiler, 2 lakh 38 thousand 861 liters of liquid milk and 42 lakh 9 thousand 356 eggs have been sold till 27 Ramadan. A total of 22 crore 33 lakh 68 rupees of these products were sold till 27 Ramadan.

The Livestock and Dairy Development Project under the Livestock and Dairy Development Project of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Bangladesh Dairy Farmers Association, Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council and other stakeholders including dairy processing companies are implementing this program.

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, on the initiative of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, from last March 10, milk, eggs and meat and fish were marketed at 30 places in the capital at affordable prices. Keeping in mind that the public can easily meet the demand for animal meat in the upcoming month of Ramadan, the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock said. Abdur Rahman inaugurated this program on the 10th of this month.
