According to Axioma Metering CEO Ignos Vosylius, examples of already implemented projects show that practical and durable Lithuanian metering devices promote the transformation of water supply companies.
Companies are empowered to reduce waste in water networks from 30 to 9 percent or less. This allows not only more efficient use of water, but also allows suppliers to offer better prices to customers.
“Last year, Axioma Metering produced 1 million meters allowed more responsible use of water by 1 million households. We estimate that this saves about 10 million per month. cubic meters of water, this is a huge contribution to more efficient consumption”, said I. Vosylius.

According to I. Vosylius, the robotization of the company was simply an inevitable decision, because the production of these devices requires special precision, which would be very difficult for a person to achieve.

Janukonis, different engineering companies of the ICOR group – “Katra”, “Limatika”, “Axis Industries”, whose experience was adopted by “Axioma Metering” – have followed a 30-year path from huge industrial meters to the most modern current accounting devices equipped with Internet of Things technology , development and production.
“Although accounting devices decreased every year, we constantly expanded their capabilities. Now our product “Qalcosonic W1″ ranks among the most modern ultrasonic accounting devices that replace old-generation mechanical meters in different markets,” A. Janukonis assured.
According to I. Vosylius, the development of meter production is planned in advance and is carried out consistently.
“We purchased both plots for the construction of factories at the same time. In the first factory, we started with one production line, which we supplemented with a second one. The new factory opened today has one production line. We monitor the market and its needs, so we are ready to install an additional line if necessary. This will allow the production of meters to be increased to 6 million. units per year”, reported I. Vosylius.
The number of employees of the company has approached 500 in the last year, in the long term it is intended to create 300 more jobs.
“We combine all production operations under one roof, we not only manufacture but also design counters. With each stage of development, we implement new technological ideas, raise the level of robotization. These are serious competitive advantages for us as an employer”, said I. Vosylius.
Currently, Axioma Metering’s exports account for over 90%. of all company sales. The Lithuanian manufacturer supplies most of the water metering devices to households in Italy, Germany, India, Scandinavia, Chile, and Israel. Counters have also started to be installed for residents of Vilnius city.
Counters developed and manufactured in Kaunas are used in 60 countries around the world.
“This year, we will continue to strengthen our positions in these countries. We are also entering the markets of Saudi Arabia and Oceania countries, where water management processes are currently being carried out”, announced I. Vosylius. He was happy that during the year of the contests it was possible to swallow competitors, well-known meter manufacturers from the USA, Israel, Germany.
The company’s managers are negotiating about the production of meters in Saudi Arabia, but have not yet announced concrete results.
Axioma Metering’s sales volume grew 2.2 times in 2023 – up to 59 million. euros. This year, the goal is to increase the income to 95 million. euros.
The company’s most sought-after product, the Qalcosonic W1 ultrasonic counter, is extremely accurate and durable. The meter runs on two AA batteries and sends data 3 times a day for 16 years with millisecond accuracy.
The counter meets the real needs of the market, is relevant, efficient and practical, and does not have any unnecessary functions.
