Hristo Stoichkov will participate in the conference “Youth and sport in the EU: Big promises face reality” in Brussels together with other legends of the native sport. It is organized by MEPs Andrei Slabakov and Pietro Fiocchi from the European Conservatives and Reformists group.
Other legends of the native sport will also take part in the conference – our most successful athlete of all time Maria Grozdeva, our only Olympic champion in swimming Tanya Bogomilova-Dangalakova, the legend in sports gymnastics Yordan Yovchev, the former world champion in pole vault Antoaneta Stefanova, the head of volleyball player Lyubo Ganev and Olympic medalist in basketball Girgina Skerlatova.
From the Italian side, the world champion in biathlon Hanna Augenthaler, the European in sports shooting Sofia Litame, the head of the biggest sports club – that of the Ministry of Interior, or the Carabinieri, Giuseppe Cioffi and the Paraski medalist Federico Pellizzari are included.
The discussion will be opened by Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth and will take place in the European Parliament building.
