(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 09 – Plenitude announces the start of construction work on the Renopool solar park in Badajoz in Spain which, with a capacity of 330 MW, will be the largest photovoltaic project built by the company globally. The park, built with the support of the construction companies Ohla, Sacyr and Sarpel, will generate 660 Gwh of energy per year, equivalent to the consumption of 200,000 families (according to Red Eléctrica de España the average daily residential consumption is 9 kWh) and will include seven photovoltaic systems and an electrical substation near the Solana de los Barros area. The announcement took place in the presence of Ignacio Gragera, mayor of Badajoz, and D. Víctor del Moral Agúndez, secretary general for sustainable development of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Sustainable Development of Extremadura. All systems will be built using the best technologies available on the market, including bifacial modules, solar tracking structures and central inverters. The construction of the plants will be completed during 2025, generating job opportunities in the local area. The Renopool solar farm will be connected to the national electrical grid. (HANDLE).
