Chennai: The Public Welfare Department issued a statement yesterday: 1,06,514 people in Tamil Nadu were tested for corona yesterday. Of these, 3,086 were confirmed infected. So far 34 lakh 31 thousand 154 people have been affected by the infection. 14,051 recovered and returned home.
So far 33 lakh 37 thousand 265 people have recovered. Accordingly, the number of people receiving treatment for corona is 56,002. A further 25 people who were being treated in hospitals died yesterday without any treatment effect. Eleven people died at government hospitals and 14 at a private hospital yesterday. A total of 37,887 people have died since then. A maximum of 6 people were killed in Chennai. The highest number was 590 in Chennai and 569 in Coimbatore.
