He baritone Ricardo Morales will represent Guatemala in the World Youth Choir 2024which brings together the best young choral singers from around the world to tour performances in different countries.

This year the choir is made up of 93 singers from 45 countries and the Guatemalan was the only one selected from Guatemala and all of Central America. That pride!

Guatemalan baritone will be part of the World Youth Choir Session 2024

Guatemalan talent continues to stand out on the international stage, and this time it is the turn of the baritone Ricardo Moraleswho has been selected to be part of the tour of the World Youth Choir 2024 or World Youth Choir 2024 in Europe.

The Guatemalan was selected by the Choir in 2020, however due to the covid-19 pandemic the tour could no longer take place. This year, he will finally be able to perform alongside artists from different countries on stages in Germany, Austria, Holland and Italy. What a chilero! During the tour the opera singers will be accompanied by the German National Youth Orchestra for a program featuring Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and the work “Nine-Ode to Compassion” by the American composer, Tan Dun.

The World Youth Choir is a non-profit program that has brought together talented singers from more than 70 countries since its creation in 1989. Recognized as an Artist for Peace by UNESCO and with participation in renowned events such as the Ceremony and Concert of the Nobel Peace Prize winner, the choir represents the excellence and diversity of young talent worldwide.

About Ricardo Morales

Ricardo Morales’ story is a testament to the power of talent and dedication. From an early age, this young 22-year-old artist began to explore his passion for singing in a church in zone 5 of Guatemala City. His meeting with tenor Mario Chang and soprano María José Morales led him to audition for the opera “La Bohème” in 2018, and since then he has been part of the Querido Arte opera company.

Under the tutelage of renowned national and international artists, Morales has perfected his technique and vocal talent. Currently, she has the guidance of the soprano Pamela Morales, a prominent figure in the country’s opera world. His dedication and passion for art have led him to be selected to represent his country and all of Central America on this international tour.
