Ration rice smuggler arrested in mini truck

Nellai District Food Smuggling Prevention Unit police received information that a bundle of ration rice was found in a mini truck in front of a house in the Melur Rahimnagar area of the Red Fort in the Tenkasi district. Police Inspector Kottaichamy and police rushed to the spot. It was then revealed that there were 3,600 kg of ration rice in 80 bundles in a lorry. Police immediately arrested the man in the truck and conducted an investigation. During the investigation, it was revealed that he was Munneer (age 49) from Attur area, Ernakulam, Kerala, who had rented a house in the area and smuggled ration rice to various places. Police immediately arrested Munir and confiscated 3,600 kg of ration rice and a mini truck from him.
