The capital’s Attorney General’s Office handed down a sentence of 26 years in prison to a man for the crime of rape against a minor who was intercepted when she was heading to her primary school in the Tláhuac mayor’s office, CDMX.

The events occurred on June 16, 2023, when Carlos “N” was driving a vehicle that provided taxi service until he found the girl in school uniforms heading to her school and decided to intercept her.

After managing to get her into the taxi, the subject took her to a home in Tláhuac, located on the border of the capital with the State of Mexico, where he sexually assaulted her.

After committing the sexual assault against the girl, Carlos “N” took the victim to his own home and the little girl informed a family member of the injury she suffered.

Given what happened, local residents prevented the aggressor from fleeing and a call was made to the emergency number 911 to report the crime. Police and preventive police arrived at the scene to arrest the individual.

After collecting the evidence and proving his guilt in raping the girl, the authority sentenced the taxi driver to more than 20 years in the Oriente Men’s Prison and issued him a fine to pay full reparation for the damage.

Likewise, the following security measures were imposed on the defendant to protect the victim and representative: prohibition of communicating by any means, whether by himself or through an intermediary, and refraining from exercising any type of violence against him.
