Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov met with Azerbaijani athletes and their coaches who successfully represented our country at continental, world championships and prestigious international competitions.
As reported by İdman.biz, the meeting, organized at the Academy of Physical Culture and Sports of Azerbaijan, began with the performance of the national anthem.
After this, some athletes awarded the title “Master of Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan” were awarded corresponding certificates and badges.
Further, Farid Gaibov congratulated the athletes on the successful representation of our country in international arenas and wished them new success.
A video was shown demonstrating the progress achieved at international competitions during the month.
Representatives of such sports as rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatics, double mini-trampoline, trampoline gymnastics, men’s gymnastics, women’s gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, shooting, table tennis, swimming, judo, strongman, wushu sanda, karate spoke about their victories. The national team coaches spoke about the preparation process and the successes of our athletes.
Deputy Minister Mariana Vasileva and head of the sports department of the ministry Elnur Mamedov also took part in the meeting.
