As part of the Days of Culture of Belarus in Azerbaijan, a round table was held with the participation of cultural and artistic figures from the two countries, Day.Az reports with reference to Trend. The event took place at the Azerbaijan National Library named after M.F. Akhundzade in Baku.

At the meeting, moderated by Advisor to the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Honored Artist Jahangir Selimkhanov, the prospects for the development of cultural ties between the two countries were discussed.

The importance of further deepening cooperation between the national libraries of Azerbaijan and Belarus, as well as in the field of museums, cinema, theatrical art and other areas of culture was emphasized. It was noted that cultural ties are of great importance in terms of mutual familiarization of the younger generation with the national cultural heritage.

The head of the Department of Culture of the Mogilev Region of Belarus, Alexander Zhigun, noted that the goal for the future is to create a bridge between our peoples through culture.

It was emphasized that, within the framework of the Culture Days, meetings and discussions were held on issues of cooperation in the field of cinema, libraries, museums and fine arts.

Also, the management of the Belarusfilm film studio voiced a proposal to hold Azerbaijani Cinema Days in Belarus.

At the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art and the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus.

Along with this, the head of the Department of Culture of the Mogilev Region presented a diploma and award to the young Azerbaijani artist Mehriban Aliyeva, who won the category “Best Animation Artist” at the XXVI International Animation Film Festival “Animaevka-2023”, organized last year in Belarus.
