The next meeting of the Economic Council took place on April 8 under the leadership of the chairman of the council, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov.
As Day.Az was informed by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the current situation and policy directions in the areas of macroeconomic and financial stability were widely discussed at the meeting, including the main directions of monetary policy, the development of the banking and insurance sectors, agricultural production, food security, the current situation in the field of rational use of land and agricultural exports, challenges and goals for 2024-2030, upcoming work in connection with Islamic finance (banking), implementation of an automated risk analysis system based on artificial intelligence on the Customs Clearance Platform and other current issues.
At the meeting, reports were heard from Chairman of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov, Chairman of the State Customs Committee Shahin Bagirov and Deputy Minister of Economy Samed Bashirli.
In conclusion, taking into account the opinions and proposals of members of the Economic Council, decisions were made on the issues discussed and instructions were given to the relevant structures.
