Of the musical idols who gave meaning to “Live fast, die young”, the Amy Winehouse she also takes her turn as the heroine of yet another cine-biopic. Thus, the scriptwriting specialist of the genre Matt Grinlaw (“Control”, “Everybody Wants A Little Love”, “Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool”) and Fifty Shades of Gray director Sam Taylor Johnson they work together to tell us her journey from adolescence in London’s Southgate to her adventurous recognition as a great composer-performer of modern music of our time.


The cinematic path is linear and undisturbed, with exuberance Marisa Abellawho herself sings Winehouse’s hits, to give a pulse to an impersonal biography, which describes without spikes a personality of novel proportions. Her hagiographic moods are not hidden, complex psychological analyzes or descriptions of the musical backgrounds are absent and everything boils down to “a girl both talented and sensitive who lacked love”.
