Over 50 reports will be discussed by the Metropolitan Municipal Council (SOC) at its regular meeting, which begins at 10:00 a.m. according to the agenda published on the council’s website.

Among the topics that the municipal councilors will discuss and vote on are a report by Deputy Mayor Nadezhda Bacheva and municipal councilors Veselin Kalanovski, Simeon Stavrev and Boyko Dimitrov regarding a partnership between the Metropolitan Municipality and the Vencislav Yankov Foundation and co-financing in the amount of BGN 27,485 for supporting young people and children – talented pianists from socially weak families and with special needs, to participate in training activities for 2024.

The SOS will consider a report by municipal councilor Carlos Contrera on the creation of a temporary SOS commission to analyze the activities of the municipal enterprise “Cemetery Parks” for the period 2019-2023.

The Council will also discuss a proposal by the Deputy Mayor for Transport Iliyan Pavlov and municipal councilors Boris Bonev, Andrey Zografski and Gergin Borisov for the introduction of a new tram line No. 15 between “Buxton” and metro station “Vitosha”.

Tsvetelina Simeonova-Zarkin and Dimitar Petrov, the municipal councilors from the group of “Proceeding the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” (“Save Sofia”), propose in a report to the SOS that the capital municipality keep the mineral bath in the “Gorna Banya” district and urgently repair it.

Municipal councilors propose that the SOS assign the mayor of the Capital Municipality to negotiate with the leadership of the National Assembly and the Ministry of Defense to ensure free access of citizens to the park of the “Lozenets” residence, reports BTA.

Parts of Ancient Serdika and the architectural heritage of Sofia should be presented through three-dimensional information elements, and for this purpose an art competition should be organized to develop the visions, the municipal councilors from “Proceeding the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” (“Save Sofia”) propose in a report to the Council Gergin Borisov and Rositsa Nikolova.
