She is a singer, audio book speaker and actress: Simone Thomalla has celebrated many career highlights since her breakthrough as a Leipzig “crime scene” investigator in 2008. The all-rounder, who is celebrating his 59th birthday today, was rarely seen alone in the spotlight. In addition to daughter Sophia, many men were also at the star’s side when it came to headlines or red carpet appearances.
First up was theater actor André Vetters, with whom Simone Thomalla was in a relationship from 1988. The couple married in 1991. Two years before the wedding, their daughter Sophia was born.

Assauer, who died of Alzheimer’s in 2019, was also a special man for his daughter Sophia. Age difference doesn’t matter
After separating from Rudi Assauer, Simone Thomalla turned the tables on the age difference. She struck up a relationship with national handball goalkeeper Silvio Heinevetter, who was almost 20 years her junior.
The couple went through thick and thin for twelve years and separated in 2021. Not easy for Thomalla: “I admit, it wasn’t that easy to face single life after almost 13 years of being in a relationship: you get up in the morning, no one says ‘good morning’, you leave in the evening without saying goodnight. Kiss to bed. Suddenly you face life alone, that’s scary at first!” she explained in January 2023 in “Bunte”.
