Tamilnadu News Update: ‘Those who do not want to wear school uniform should leave school and join Madrasa’
H.Raja Say About Hijab Issue : BJP senior leader H Raja has commented on the controversy over hijab in Karnataka, with many netizens trolling his old Twitter posts.
Muslim students have been banned from wearing the hijab at a college in the Udupi district of Karnataka. Following the students’ protest against the ban, the Hindu administration announced that if Muslim students were allowed to wear the hijab, they would come with the kavit and enter the college with the blank piece accordingly.
As the divorce caused great controversy in the college last week, protests against the controversy spread across Karnataka. As a result of this extraordinary situation, Hindu students continue to go among Muslim students saying Jai Shriram and they say Allah Akbar for their record. Related video recordings are spreading virally on the internet.
Muslim students have complained to the Human Rights Commission that wearing the hijab is a constitutional right given to us, while the case is pending in the High Court. In this context, it has been alleged that Hindutva organizations are behind the affair and that there are attempts to divide the students for the political gain of some.
And while various parties have been recording their views on the issue, many BJP supporters have been urging students not to wear the hijab at school. As the issue is currently causing great controversy in India, comments posted by BJP celebrities are causing a stir among Netizens. It went viral two days ago when a Netizen questioned Khushboo, a BJP actress, over a video recording of the hijab affair, to which Khushboo retaliated.
H. Raja, the senior leader of the Tamil Nadu BJP, has now joined the ranks. Commenting on his recent Twitter post on the hijab issue, he said, “Those who do not want to wear school uniforms should leave school and join the madrassa.” H. Raja, who is usually met with harsh criticism for his comments, is also facing criticism for this post.

Jaya… They did not say we will not wear school uniform
We would wear our school uniforms for our religious identity until we arrived at school, and we would wear them when we sat in the classroom. Then we would wear them until we went home after class.– சண்முகப்பிரியன் (shanmusaravana) February 9, 2022

As H.Raja’s post has gone viral on social media, netizens who have been criticizing the post have been trending the Twitter post he posted in favor of Hindu students in 2019. In the year 2019, the school education department conducted an inquiry into a complaint that their castes were found based on the rope tied by school children in Tamil Nadu.

In a statement issued by the school education department at the end of the investigation, the school administration was ordered to take action against students who were handcuffed. And tilak on the forehead is an act done to show their caste identity that the upper caste is the lower caste. A statement issued on behalf of the school education department said that this would cause conflict among the students and thus these should not be allowed in the school.
Commenting against the report, H. Raja wrote, ‘It is the custom of the Hindus to tie a rope around their hands and rub their foreheads. Therefore this circular should be withdrawn. Why didn’t the director ban the religious identities of other religions. The Chief Minister should sack the Director of School Education who is acting against the Hindu sentiment. He had posted that if the circular was not withdrawn, a rope-tying protest would be held for the students.
H. Raja, who at the time expressed his views in favor of Hindu students, has now become the subject of controversy among Netizens for posting that all students should come in school uniform as is the case in the hijab affair.
