The UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Batili, visited the archaeological site of Tarmisa, near the city of Jado.

During a visit to the city of Jado in the Western Mountains, last Monday, Batelli met with the mayors of various Amazigh cities in the western Libyan region.

He said that he discussed with the attendees their concerns about continued marginalization, participation in the political and reconciliation process, and security challenges in the region.

It is noteworthy that Tarmisa is one of the important archaeological monuments that still speaks of its antiquity and history in Libya, as it is approximately three centuries old.
