Armenian politicians are once again spreading panic in Armenia, assuring that Azerbaijan’s “attack” is ready and this time it will lead to the solution of “global problems.” Armenian Dashnak deputy Armen Rustamyan made such an interesting and at the same time stupid statement in a conversation with Armenian journalists.
Of course, he did not go into detail about what he calls “global goals.” Nor did he explain where and when to expect an attack. However, he is not the only one. And before him, not a single Armenian or Western politician sympathetic to Armenians had made predictions about when and where the “attack” would take place. After all, they knew perfectly well that nothing like this was planned.
But Dashnak Rustamyan went further. He managed to involve Turkey in the attack, explaining that tension would help Baku and Ankara “get results acceptable to them.” Doesn’t he understand that if anyone had a desire to fight, there would be no negotiations for many years? Or can he not understand that if Azerbaijan wanted to fight with the Armenians, there would not be a truce in 2020?
And why does Azerbaijan need war? Baku doesn’t want anyone else’s, only its own. Which is what he will get. Azerbaijan, unlike Armenia, has always been distinguished by the consistency of its foreign policy. From the stands of various international platforms, Azerbaijan has always said that it is necessary to comply with international law. While Armenia has always tried to delay the process, referring to incomprehensible and illogical approaches.
It is also interesting that the Armenian radical did not explain the reasons why he painted such a gloomy picture for Armenia. But we will help and explain why radical Armenian “politicians” are spreading panic among the population. The fact is that by spreading panic, they sow distrust in the current authorities. The calculation, of course, is made that sooner or later this will allow them to gain at least some power in the country.
It is also important to take into account that it is the radical dashnak who paints such a sad scenario. And it will be difficult to imagine a situation in which he would not say that Baku and Ankara are planning something bad. Radical Dashnaks built their self-awareness and identity on hatred of Azerbaijan and Turkey, which determines their political views and public assessments.
But this approach does not allow you to soberly assess the situation and see the impact of your views on the future. Radical Armenians, of course, can continue to talk about “attack plans” and paint their geopolitical scenarios. But how long will they be believed? Sooner or later, people in Armenia will understand that these people are simple populists playing on people’s fear of losing security.
Apparently, they will continue to wait for an “attack” in Armenia.
