BOLZANO. The Milan Prosecutor’s Office asked 2 year sentenceswith conditional suspension of the sentence, for two (from Bolzano) of the three young people on trial with an abbreviated trial for having a plainclothes local police officer in the Navigli area was attacked and disarmedon the night between 14 and 15 January 2022. “We attacked him because he had never qualified as an agent and that’s why we wanted to take away the weapon he had”, one of the three explained when questioned. Their lawyers, the lawyers Antonio Buondonno and Nicola Nettis, asked for acquittal in the summary, after having filed new images in the documents and invoking the “putative legitimate defense”, because those young people, between 20 and 23 years old, had seen the policeman shot in the air as soon as he got out of the car and they didn’t know who he was.
