The calendar pointed to September 2023 when Volkswagen went ahead at the unveiling of the third generation of the popular Tiguan. The highly successful model – with more than 7.6 million sales since its debut in 2007 – completely revamped, incorporating new technologynew design but also plug-in hybrid powertrains which allow a purely electric range of approx 100 km.

The new Tiguan, alongside the new design language which has incorporated, has increased in length by about three centimeters compared to the outgoing model, while the height, width and wheelbase remained practically the same. At the same time its capacity luggage compartment has increased by 37 lt in 652 lt (when loaded up to the height of the back of the rear seats).

The design of the front section “highlights” the improvement of the drag coefficient from 0.33 to 0.28.

As for the powertrainsin Greece are available the eTSI mild hybrid versions with its gasoline engine 1.5 L which yields 130 or 150 PS, the diesel version with the two-liter TDI which yields 150 PS and plug-in hybrid systems (eHybrid) where we find the only four-wheel drive version of the series. All are combined with automatic 7-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox.
